The fruit for our masters Bordeaux style blend was grown on the valley floor outside Yountville and on the valley floor just North of St. Helena. We love this wine and it perfectly reflects our style of food friendly approachable wines. Old world in the taste profile, it is a wine you want to share with friends and food. Dark rich fruit with soft tannins and classic cedar cigar box, hints of berries and black pepper with a surprising long caramel finish.
The Blend:

- 5% Petite Verdot from the Calistoga Appellation
14.8% Alcohol by Volume
The 2005 growing season was a winemakers dream, though he may not have realized it at the time. An unseasonably cool and rainy spring set the stage for the grapes to achieve optimal acid and juice qualities. This was followed by a mild summer that allowed for slow ripening and the achievement of the skins and complex, soft tannins.
